About Me

SEAME was founded by Robert in 2011 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Hello, my name is Robert. I am 35 years old. I was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia in October of 2007 at 31.
Most of my memory includes social anxiety, paranoia and bouts of mild to severe depression. It all came to a peak at 30, entering me into a Psychosis.

Stigma

- The sinister view of the mentally ill.
- The feeling of being ashamed and tainted.
- Never to be brought up to the general public, friends and/or family members.

SEAME would like to see an end to the Stigma surrounding Mental Illness.

We believe in educating family members and those who's lives are touched by knowing someone with Mental Illness. We can help fight against Isolation, Fear and Suicide.
Compassion can go a long way and together we can make a difference.
Our mental Wellness plays a big part in our lives and the lives of our loved ones.

Suicide accounts for 24% of all deaths among 15-24 year olds and 16% among 25-44 year olds.
